I reposted an older report on it long ago:

healthunlocked.com/mpnvoice...

but "resveratrol application is still being a major challenge for pharmaceutical industry, due to its poor solubility and bioavailability, as well as adverse effects"

My MPN Dr is was ok with supplements in general, NAC for example, but agreed with the adverse part of the above.

There may be newer info.

I have been taking resveratrol from past two months and could not find any positive or negative effects so far. Will keep you updated going forward. Thank you

I tried resveratrol for 3 months and during that time my platelets actually increased from 600 to 800! Taking it was the only change I made to my diet and lifestyle during that time . It certainly didn’t work for me.

I use resveratrol but have seen no effect what’s so ever.

I suspect that is the reality as far as MPN is concerned

Same for me...

resveratrol increased my platelets.

Interesting 🤔. Did they go down again when you stopped taking it? How long did you take it for?

Yes platelets returned to previous levels within about a week. I have CBCs weekly to keep track of swings in platelets which also inversely effects RBC and WBC counts.

Ah, I see.

I have come to the conclusion, (from personal experience on several occasions where I’ve had 2 tests within the hour in the same hospital ) that CBC’s aren’t as accurate as you think. On every occasion where I’ve had 2 tests, the readings were 300+ difference , sometimes higher, sometimes lower. The Drs were also puzzled and had no clue as to why. When it can change so much, so quickly , it just make me question everything 🤔

I think I’d need to see a pattern over a longer period of time for absolute certainty. But I understand your caution.

Have you tried any other supplements?

Yes, my platelets are sometimes all over the map. When dangerously high the tech will do a smear review panel. I understand why you would want to question everything, and I'm all for that! We have to be our own advocates. You asked if I take other supplements and yes, I have tried MANY. The ones that I feel are working for me now are Vitamin D, Lycopene, Omega 3 and I also take the antihistamine Loratadine. I would appreciate any recommendations and advice from others with ET w/CALR mutation.

I’m Jak 2 with platelets typically 1400/1500. Otherwise fit as a fiddle, since sorting out my known Vit deficiencies D & B12, plus supporting thyroid a bit. Drs no help at all with these.

I’m following Dr William Makis and I’m quite interested in giving that a go.

Also might try a water fast, possibly. Wouldn’t hurt.

Have tried lots of supplements over the years. Hasn’t done any harm, probably did some good. B12 was a life changer for me! Also cleaned up diet, and added Intermittent fasting .

I think that if some people with stage 4 cancer can totally reverse their condition then we must be able to reverse our condition too.

Do you have any links to confirmed cases of Stage 4 cancers (? Type) being reversed just by taking supplements? I'm rather sceptical of such claims but would be happy to be convinced by published scientific evidence.

You have to take a look for yourself, but there are a lot of good doctors doing excellent things. This has usually meant them stepping away from mainstream medicine. On Substack look for Dr Makis, Dr Paul Marik, Justus R Hope. Check out Joe Tippens story.

Read books by :Jane McLelland, Chris Wark, Kelly Turner, dr Thomas Seyfried to name a few. I’m pretty sure Dr Paul Mariks book is now free to download .

Lots of remarkable things going on, using different approaches but achieving great outcomes.

It’s a very interesting journey, but one you’ll have to do for yourself.

Having tried many natural things to avoid taking conventional medication , for 2 years, i had to give up. This included Resvetarol . Now have hydroxicarbamide every other day and under guidance from proffesional s still have suppliments to hopefully counteract some of negative s of chemo. Drug .

I've taken hydria for more than 20 years with not many side effects at all and it's kept my platelets down.

This is very encouraging! What mutation do you have if I might ask.

I've got et with no jax mutation.

I have taken Resveratrol and found that it did nothing, good or bad. Just more $ wasted on supplements.
