NHS coronavirus trials

I have just signed up to be contacted regarding the NHS coronavirus trials.

It remains to be seen whether they get back to me on the basis of the info I have given as to my age and health profile. I'm rather hoping to be offered an opportunity to get an early vaccine...

Apparently, I may not even be contacted if they don't consider that I fit the eligible criteria. So I'm not holding my breath.

I’ve signed up too but not sure if having an MPN would make them more or less interested in us..!

Personally I think you'll be very lucky to be accepted but I hope you are accepted.

I found out a while back that I cant donate blood or be a organ donor because I have ET

I think they may still take our corneas but I haven’t checked that recently..!

I am on the donor register on the basis that they can make their own minds up as to whether they want to use any of me or not.

I have also signed up to test it. They must need people who have conditions to ensure that the vaccine is safe for everybody so I'm assuming that we will be required but in what numbers?

I just signed up at Johns Hopkins here in the States. There is a major MPN Clinic and research base there, so perhaps they will be interested in someone with PV and NF1. Or not. We will see. Hope we both hear something soon.

Ah, well - bated IS short for abated so I guess we shouldn't bate our breath for too long.
