I've been recording my blood pressure twice daily. Since May. It never seems to be constant. I have results showing high BP and low BP on a daily basis. It varies al the time. Anyone finding problems with their BP results, is it a result of ET do you think?

I take mine a couple of times a week - it’s always different.
I record mine once a week after sitting down for 5 minutes. I take 3 readings & record the lowest. Thats the usual advice from s cardiologist
BP can vary for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with ET. The technique used to take the BP is one of the reasons.
1. Avoid caffeine, smoking, alcohol and exercise 30 minutes before taking BP.
2. Empty your bladder
3. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking BP.
4. Take the BP at approximately the same times
5. Sit on a chair with your back supported and both feet flat on the floor. Avoid crossing your legs or slouching. Rest your arm on a flat surface (like a table) at heart level.
6. Position the cuff properly, about 1 inch above the elbow. The cuff should be about at the level of the heart.
7. Remain still and silent while taking the BP.
8. For greatest accuracy, take 2-3 readings and average them. Some electronic sphygmomanometers have a setting that does this for you automatically.
Once you are certain that you have accurate reading, you can share them with a medical provider who can give your the best interpretation of the findings.
