Have just finished the intravenous treatment for the adenovirus chest infection as had two consecutive clear results! š„³š„³š„³
Also picked up a couple of fungal infections which my team have prescribed steroid cream treatments, clobetasol (Dermovate), clotrimazole and Dermol 500 for dry skin!
Biopsy result came back as looking good and T-cell chimerism has risen from 7% - 19% - 60% so there is a possibility of a lymphocyte infusion (DLI) in the near future to help if next result is low.
White blood cell, red cell, and haemaglobin counts are still low and slow progressive neutropenia which could be due to the recent cidofovir infusions.
Have gone back to 2 week consultations and if bloods look better, then they will push to 3-4 weeks.
Apart from all that, am feeling really good in myself both physically and mentally.
(Slow and steady wins the race).
Happy to answer any questions that anyone may have.
Love to allā¦.

Good news overall! Glad to hear the issues that came up were successfully treated. Wishing you continued success and a full recovery in the near future,
well done. It might seem slow but it is progress and can move at different paces. Thinking back to a comparable time (many years ago!) I had to have steroids for one infection and saw my reducing pill count rise unexpectedly before continuing their steady demise. Keep following the medics advice and steer clear of anyone who knows someone who has had a cold or infection, to protect yourself ! š
Very happy to hear all is going in the right direction (with the exception of the chest infection)! Happy Christmas and wishing you an abundance of happiness and health in the new year. Hugs from NYC.
great news - keep on fighting with a winners attitude. For sure thereāll be great days and not so good ones. Past my 9th year now and still going strongā¦.
It seems I'm late to the party. I don't know how I missed your post. I was thinking this morning it's been a while since I had seen an update on the infection.
I'm glad to see you are now infection free and making progress. When you say your counts are low - are you needing transfusions? Is your hemoglobin over 100 yet?
As always keep the updates coming and hope you have a great Christmas.
Hi matey, my white, red, Haemaglobins and platelets have all been below normal levels for a while now but it's whether the T-Cells chimerism will get higher than last result of 59%. They would request a lymphocyte infusion from original donor to help boost. Will be seeing consultant just before the end of the year so whatever is needed...
