Last week I attended my first MPN Voice Patient Forum, in Nottingham UK.It was so nice to hear Mazcd talk about MPNs and introduce MPN specialists to talk too.
I'm just starting to process everything and, I'm hoping someone can help. During the discussion, we heard about complimentary therapies and how they can help with quality of life. It was mentioned that an aromatherapy stick can be used to help when feeling nauseous. Yesterday I spoke to my consultant, during a routine phonecall, unfortunately they do not offer this. I was offered medication but, honestly, I'd rather not, as it's often doesn't last too long. However, I would like to find out if I can get hold of aromatherapy sticks to try.
Has anyone tried them, and if so, where can I get one ?

Hi Lyndjs, can you send me a private message or email me, with your name and email address, and phone number, so I can pass these details to Melissa, the complementary therapist, she will be able to then discuss this with you. email is maz.cd@mpnvoice.org.uk
Thank you @ Mazcd, email sent 😂 thinking about it, I should have waited for work hours, please don't open it, in your own time.I really appreciate your support.
Looking forward to next year's face to face already 😊
Can I do same. Mazcd? I suffer from a lot of nausea (PV diagnosis) esp afternoons after I take the prescribed aspirin admise (here in France that is Kardegic 75mg), and I get up dreading the second half of my days never knowing what to expect… Or will uk aromatherapist not be able to help me here in France? (Brexit and all that!!)TIA. Anouchka
hi Anouchka, I am sorry that you are suffering with a lot of nausea, you should speak to your haematologist about this. I am sorry, but the aromatherapist won't be able to advise you, she can only advise patients who are under the care of the teams in the Nottingham hospitals. Best wishes, Maz
