And breathe …..

On a blood test from my GP 3 weeks ago the results showed blasts, where previously I hadn’t had any. Obviously this caused me a great deal of worry. I had blood taken on Tuesday and spoke to haematologist this afternoon.

He said he’d looked at the blood film on both tests himself and couldn’t see anything of concern on either! On the previous one there was a trace but not more than he would expect and nothing on the latest one at all. As there was no change in any other counts or my health, hg had actually gone up slightly, white cells remain around 5, he says I am still ‘stable’. So I’m really pleased about that.

(My husband says I’ve got a long way to go to being normal 😁)

I told the doctor about the Blood Cancer UK trials and have emailed him the information I was sent.

I was very worried about the blasts increasing as I have high risk mutations, anyway so far so good.

So it’s carry on with the Rux and EPO injections. 😁

Glad to hear the good news. Totally understand why you were worried. I would have been too. As for being "normal" - meh! Who wants to be normal (AKA boring)? 🙃
