low neutrophils on pegysys

my white cell count have been dropping over the last new months. Was on 45 ug every 10 days. Neutrophils now 1.2. Haematologist has advised changing to every 2 weeks. Says unless neutrophils below 1 not really immunosuppressed. Any views

Strange your hematologist says that, my wife's neutrophil count is over 43 and she is immunocompromised

Are you in the Uk .I am guessing not and it’s a different reference range. Normal here is between 2.0 and 7.0 ish

Yes we are in the UK, actually in Wales, where the normal range for neutrophils is between 1.7 and 7.5, as shown in the screenshot. The rest are pretty poor too. Though the hydroxycarbamide and Anagrelide are keeping the platelets down from the 1 million plus they are normally.

Is your wife seeing an MPN specialist in Wales...it certainly appears that she needs advice and support from an expert in that field xI hope things improve for her xxx

I have had low neutrophils on ropeginterferon. Similiar to your doctor, mine is not concerned as long as the Neutrophil count stays at 1 or higher. It seems your doctor’s advice makes sense.
