I have just had a consultation with my haematologist ,last visit in August revealed my hemocrit was a bit low they said to have one 500 grams of hydroxycarbamide a day and 500g on a saturday and sunday instead of 1000g today they said my hemocrite is still a bit low ,so I now have to take 500 g of hydroxycarbamide for 5 days and none on weekend and next appointment in 6 weeks and if it's still low but platelets increase then I may have to change from hydroxycarbamide I am concerned if they offer me Anagrelide as I have read not very good reports on it any input would be appreciated

I was on Anagrelide for quite a few years. At first I had palpitations but they faded and they just popped up very occasionally and nothing to write home about then.
