Does anyone have both Jakafi and Pegasys? My Mpn has hinted that this might be a good combination. I think there have been trials but I can’t find them now!

jakafi and Pegasys combination for Myelofibrosis
Hi Yanico, I am in the UK and am enrolled onto the FEDORA clinical trial, which combines Fedratinib a JAK inhibitor with Ropeginterferon (Besremi) a bit different to what you're asking as these are 2nd generation drugs. If you haven't been prescribed any other medication you may be eligible for the same trial, worth talking to your MPN / Haem specialist about. I think there others on this site that have been prescribed Jakafi and Pegasys so hopefully one of those will also respond.
Good luck
Chris
Google "ruxopeg" for articles on the combo. And search YouTube. The combo has been studied for about 10 years, mainly by the Danes, the French and a few cancer centers in the USA. Results have been good. Patients simultaneously gain the symptom relieving benefits of Jakafi along with the disease slowing or stopping benefits of Pegasys interferon.
It's also been studied for PV. One discussion of that with good results is here:

The combo in concept allows lower doses of each.
Member william-Indo is on it.
For either condition Rux helps take the rough edges off of IFN, esp its inflammation side. IFN can be both anti and pro inflammatory.
I suspect I'd still be on IFN if I'd had the combo. (I had severe adverse reaction with IFN and a flu vaccine)
A likely challenge is getting insurance coverage for this combination.
