You are welcome to attend this forum regardless of where you live or which hospital you attend, if you are willing to travel we will be happy to see you. You are welcome to bring your family and friends with you. There is no fee to attend this forum, a complimentary buffet and refreshments will be served during the forum.

Programme

The programme is currently being arranged, it will include talks from: Dr Rebecca Frewin, Gloucester Hospitals NHS FT; Dr Ali Mahdi, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board; Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialists, and MPN patients plus a Q&A session. The programme will also include breakout groups for each MPN where patients can meet in smaller groups to discuss everyday challenges and swap tips and chat with other people who have the same MPN, there will also be a family and friends group, this gives your family and friends a chance to chat to others about how to help and support you and themselves.

Parking – all attendees can receive a 50% discount from the standard parking rates in the Cabot Circus shoppers’ car park, located next to the hotel, to receive the discount, attendees must validate their parking ticket at the hotel reception on departure and settle the remaining balance at the car park pay station as normal.

Gutted, I so wanted to attend an MPN forum, but unfortunately I'm away when the Bristol one is on. Hopefully there be another one next year. 🤞Please can we know possible dates in advance, just so we can try and keep dates free.

To any attendees Bristol has a “Clean Air Zone” if you enter in an offending vehicle you’ll have to pay a fee. Cars are currently £9. You can go on the Bristol council website and enter your registration and it’ll let you know either way.

the hotel website has this advice regarding the clean air zone:

Please note to avoid entering the chargeable Bristol Clean Air Zone, the use of the M32 into the city is required. If your vehicle is not compliant and you enter and exit the car park by the main entrance, you will have to pay the daily charge. Enter via Houlton Street and again exit on the same street, turning right towards Lawrence Hill to avoid paying the daily charge. We recommend double-checking your car's eligibility before travelling.
