Hi, Robeets. I have had some mild redness at my injection sites, but never anything significant. I start my injection series a couple inches to the left of my navel, then a couple inches right, then 4 inches left followed by 4 inches right. Then I drop down a couple inches and repeat the process for a total of 8 spots no closer than a couple inches from each other. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

Hi, that's great advice, I will certainly try that. Thank you so much.

Failing this ask your nurse. I have a feeling you can you the top of your thigh. Please do check I could be wrong

Hi, thank you, I will try that! I have an appointment today to check there is no infection. GP said maybe an allergic reaction. Thanks again. Best wishes.

I get redness but not soreness. Maybe best check with your nurse if doesn’t improve. Hope it gets better

Thanks. Saw doc at haematology. Thinks it's an allergic reaction. Strange as I've been injecting for two years once a week.

yes I had it quite bad in my thigh which I chose to inject . My Haemotology nurse explained it could happen if any interferon spills onto your skin or angle of needle wrong or not pulled out quickly. I now inject it into stomach pinching the skin & been better. Do not rub the area of injection site 👍

Hi, I will definitely try that! Sometimes the needles are not very sharp. Thanks. Best wishes.

yes rubbish needle sometimes. I am on 45 currently so with wasting rest sometime s there is liquid on needle I wipe it with sterile wipe . Also don’t wipe are with sterile wipes it can irritate I was told I now use a baby wipe & little redness this time . All the best Julia 👍

Yes, I was using sterile wipes, so will try baby wipes. I was on 45, now alternate with 90 to try and get platelets lower. Thank you so much. Jude

I have been injecting Pegasus for 18 months and both sides of my belly are constantly red. I think it is a side effect of the underlying condition. My Dr says it's fine.

Thank you.

Hi there, I learnt from someone else way back to always just leave the needle in for a while after injecting. Don't whip it straight out. I think the meds must keep working there way in deeper, but if you remove straight away it drags the interferon out with it, getting it in the skin. Anyway works for me. (That's just my theory why).

Thank you. I will try that.
