I inject 135 mg Pegasys every 3 weeks. Even though I feel very tired I find it hard to get to sleep (and stay asleep) the night of the injection. Does anyone else feel really jangly and agitated? It feels like I’ve drunk far too much coffee.

Raction after Pegasys injection
I find that I am more sensitive to external stimuli after my injection. Also have some difficulty controlling my body temperature - too hot then too cold. Since I am retired I end up taking a nap sometimes. My dosage is 90 per week.
I'm on 180 once a week and even though I got an injection site reaction for the first month, I have absolutely no side effects anymore. I also had some trouble sleeping at night, but I've increased my gym intensity and now I sleep like a rock (because babies really don't sleep well haha)
Yes me too I have difficulty sleeping the night of the injection
I can’t help you regarding your medication. I’m Calr ET and on hydroxicarbomide and anagrelide. I permanently want to doze 24/7. If I do do that then I don’t sleep at night. I must force myself to exert myself every day. Good luck
Yes. I do and believe it's a very common side-effect of the drug. For this reason, because I also get severe muscle and joint pain, I take 2 parcetamol about 30 minutes prior to onjecting and half a Kirland's Sleep Aid before bed. That always does the trick for me.
I try not to take the sleep aid at other times but do have a very good pillow spray called 'This Works'.
I buy both products online. All the best. I hope you are able to find better sleep. x
Thank you to everyone who replied - it’s nice not to feel alone. Nothing like fellow-MPN sufferers’ direct experiences; even the best doctors often just don’t have a clue when it comes down to symptoms or side-effects.
