I’ve just tested positive too. I rang the hospital. Advice was to keep an eye on my temperature and call if symptoms got worse. So far so good. I feel as though I’ve been trampled by an herd of elephants and have an annoying cough.

just got over Covid both my husband and I. They have medicine but you have to be within 5 days of symptoms. I was very sick for two weeks, felt like a bad bad flu, headache, very sore throat and head felt like I was under water. I am 71 so I was a little concerned and my husband is 77 and diabetic. Drinks lots and lots of fluids, take tylenol and Vit C. It has left me with an annoying dry cough! By the way I had all the vaccines and boosters.

Hi. I encourage you to immediately see if you qualify for & if it’s safe for you to take PAXLOVID or another drug. I don’t know if you have something like Emergency Room open 24/7. These drugs help reduce the severity and duration for most patients. So sorry to hear you have it. Sending positive & healing thought to you both. Katie

Hiya, so sorry to hear you have tested positive . I was really quite frightened but all was well. I had anti virals and this worked fine, tney were sent round in a taxi! Just to say that I had the covid rebound with Paxlovid and had it twice followed by killer fatigue for 6 weeks so it might be worth a thoiught before you begin the course. On the whole because I was scared and showing my son where I had put my will, I was glad I took them. Get well soon.

I had covid too & contacted 111, i was prescribed anti-virals to take if my symptoms got worse. However, I held back, was quite unwell for 3 days then started improving. Also, good kidney function is needed to tolerate the meds. The anti-virals are in my medicine cupboard, but nice to know I have them if needed in future. Lots of luck.
