hi all, my partner (34f) is after having 4 venesections in the last 7 weeks all in her left arm. Her last venesection was last Wednesday (19/10) she has since developed a slight hand tremor. It’s not constant and only in her left hand. Has anyone experienced this? As she’s newly diagnosed PV and only after a BMB last week we’re still coming to terms with everything.
thanks in advance

hello Ppjd, I am sorry that your wife is having this problem with her hand, I would advise that she contacts her clinical nurse specialist for some advice on what to do about it, they may advise that she sees her GP. Best wishes, Maz
thanks Maz. We were with the GP just prior to me posting, she didn’t really seem too concerned but as she wasn’t too experienced with MPN’s she couldn’t be sure. We’re back with MPN specialist in a few weeks and will raise it then again. She only gets the slight tremor for a few minutes a day.
I am ET JAK2 since diagnosis by accident last April. Had bone biopsy first thing then. Started on hydroxy and switched to anagrelide in June because of awful side effects. I have had weekly blood draws of two vials for hematology and monthly one more vial as I also have hypothyroid and erratic iron levels to be checked. The iron issue is an ET side effect for me. Each week I tell the technician which arm to draw from so I can alternate the draw side between arms as a cautionary step. No issues with arm draw sites nor any other side effects related to blood draws after 15 plus punctures to date in each arm. So I have a different experience with blood draws. Please do follow up with your doctors about her hand issue. It may or not be related to blood draws. I found getting started with ET treatment was not at all straight forward. Ask lots of questions. Don’t assume anything. Best of luck to you and wife.
