I started back on hydroxy 6 weeks ago after taking nothing for 6 weeks platelets have risen slightly 711 to 736. Increase hydroxy to 1000mg 4 days & 500mg for 3.

It feels like a big jump after 6 weeks I have had covid recently, I would rather see how bloods are in 6 weeks.

did you ask hematologist why they felt you should increase dose? If not maybe make another appointment. Or/ and talk it over with heomo . Nurses.

sorry to hear you have had covid. Hope you’ve made a full recovery.

As for your meds hopefully once your platelets are down they can be reduced.

I would still consider it to be a low dose though.

It is always up to you whether you want to increase the dose or not. If you would prefer to wait until your body is fully recovered and there is no more reactive thrombocytosis that is your prerogative. Perhaps a follow up with the hematologist is in order.
