I thought I would just give you an update after my SCT was postponed in June.
My new admission date is 23rd August and of course I am nervous in case anything else goes wrong!
I have felt well for the last few weeks and my blood counts have held up quite well although dropping steadily now. I'm having a transfusion locally tomorrow as my haemoglobin is 79. However, I've still been able to go for a walk each day (3 miles yesterday) so I feel quite encouraged about general fitness going in for the SCT.
At least I have had time to get used to the Hickman Line and I'm thankful that I wasn't in hospital or in the first days of recovery during the heatwave.
I will keep you all updated. Thank you for all the moral support over the last few months of prepaation.
Best wishes, Jennie

I will be praying for you, Jennie. From everything I’ve learned about you on the site, you are a strong and courageous woman and you’re ready for this. I’m glad you were able to spend some time at home and do your walking. Keep us posted as you continue on this journey.
Best wishes... Glad you're feeling a tad fitter... 3 Mile is excellent, & even more so given the heat reports we are hearing of in the UK of late... 40ºC. Ouch!
Glad to hear you are able to keep so fit -that must help you through the process. You have had a long wait since June so all the very best on 27th. Thanks for posting.
Hopefully you get your treatment as planned this time and that all goes well for you. I’m extremely impressed at 3 miles with such low heamoglobin levels, strength and stamina like this should put you in great stead for the coming transplant. Good luck and best wishes. Garry
Thanks for the update Jennie. I know that I, like many others here, gain great inspiration from your updates and from the way you have approached this & dealt with each stage thus far.Thank you & know that you continue to be in my thoughts & prayers.👍x
