I had a telephone consultation with my SCT consultant today to talk about my preliminary debulking chemotherapy. I will probably be admitted in about three weeks. There will be eight days of chemotherapy, followed by three or four weeks for my counts to recover. Then, hopefully, I'll have a couple of weeks at home before admission for the conditioning chemotherapy and the actual transplant.
The only way my husband and I can cope with it is to focus on one step at a time. I am, as always, very grateful for all your support on here and I will keep you updated as and when I feel well enough to post.
Best wishes to you all,
Jennie

Please remember if at any step you’re overwhelmed in any way, that all of us are holding you in our hearts and sending you our strength to help you through any rough patches. Katie

Hi Jennie. I’m glad to hear that you have a plan going forward. I’m currently a couple of weeks behind you on the journey, due to see my haematologist/transplant consultant on Tuesday next week, where I am expecting to get the plan agreed. Like you I am apprehensive about the transplant, but also like you I am just focusing on 1 step at a time.
Wishing you all the best too Garry. Do keep in touch when you feel well enough. It's tough because, even though we know in theory what to expect, it's impossible to know what it will all feel like. Very best wishes.
Sending you good wishes you will be in good hands but it’s a big deal you must be worried but you have a positive mind set and lots of prayers from this site best wishes Poppy xx
Jennie,You really are approaching this in the best way possible imo.
One step at a time, one issue at a time. You can deal with each step as it comes & move onto the next one. It’s a much better approach than trying to look at the entire process as one single entity.
You’ve got this x
Sending you my admiration and support.
As you already know, We all stand alongside one another here and rest assured you will be in my thoughts & prayers 👍
I have been reading your posts for a long time now. You are obviously a very strong person and if anyone will do well with a transplant you will be one of them. Best of everything as you begin this new journey. Everyone will be thinking of and praying for you. Best.
Stay positive,. Take it one day at a time and once you start feeling better you will look back at your journey, many months later as a fighter and the surviver that you are. All the best to you. ❤️❤️❤️
