I’m 30 and my husband and I are trying for a baby. Now I’m terrified of what this diagnosis will mean for a future pregnancy. Are there any other women who would feel comfortable sharing their experience with PV and pregnancy?
I’m currently not on any treatment, just “watching” things.

I have ET, Jak2+ and usually monitored with aspirin.
I was monitored very closely in pregnancies by the joint obstetric/haematology clinic. I think it really depends on how your body reacts to pregnancy and bump grows. Every pregnancy is different. With my eldest I had to take interferon, with my youngest I took blood thinners the whole time and baby grew really well.
It could make things a bit more challenging but pregnancy can be challenging for all sorts of reasons at the best of times. As you know you have a MPN already, they can have a plan in place.
MPN voice have some great info on their website about MPNs and pregnancy. Speak to your haematologist as they can refer you for an antenatal obstetric consultation who can answer any concerns
