Ruxolitinib and constipation

I've recently had my dose of ruxolitinib increased from 2 X5 mg to 1x5 and 1x 10 mg a day. I seem to have become constipated. I see it is a possible side effect of rux but didn't get constipated on the lower dose. Has anyone had the same thing happen and foes it go away?

Yes it sometimes is like that for me,then it can be the opposite. I get awful indigestion & reflux as well. Its hard to manage it all....on the whole tho Rux has improved my blood counts, all these meds have their side effects .Try not to worry ,that just makes it all worse as I know only too well.

Best to you.

Apparently RUX can have this Adverse Effects for some. HU did the same thing to me. I kept the Miralax in business single-handedly when I was on HU. Unfortunately, the meds we use to treat MPNs can have AEs, Hope you get this sorted soon,

Hi Scaredy_cat,I am currently taking 2x10mg Rux and like you experience constipation. I try to manage it with diet so eat fruit for lunch every day as well as some on my porridge every morning. Also for the first time in my life I get heartburn and have started burping.

I had the constipation with HU but not the indigestion issues.
