I was told by my GP that they will refer me but then Guys will take over from my Haematologist completely, I am sure I have read that Prof Harrison and the Haematologist could work together.

My haematologist and Claire Harrison cooperate on my treatment. He used to work with her so I don’t know if that makes a difference.

I would think Guys can consult and your local hematologist can handle the ongoing care. I believe others have said that is what they do. This works really well when the MPN Specialist is too far away for ongoing care to be convenient. This is what I do. I see the MPN Specialist 2x/year as he is 2 hours away at Johns Hopkins. My wonderful local hematologist handles all the ongoing care.

Consulting with a MPN Specialist is essential to receiving optimal care. Sounds like you are making this happen. All the best moving forward.
