Hello everyone, hope you are all feeling……not too bad today 😁💞
Just out of interest, those with PV, where does your itches start? Like me, ankles or knees ? It will suddenly start up out of the blue, maybe when I have got into bed, it will start on my knees, or when I have just got up, and my arms will start itching. 🤔🤔

The most common and most annoying for me is the soles of my feet.
If it comes on while I'm driving there's little opportunity to whip the old shoes off and have a good scratch! Especially on a motorway when I've just passed a service area.
It's awful, itching can start on my forearms, one than the other side. Or, on my front thighs, one side than the other....worse if on chest and nipples. Usually it comes on after getting into bed at night to sleep. Then it may begin on my back then travels to the front. May need to take an antihistamine to stop the suffering and be able to sleep. There is a circadian rhythm to the histamine release and it begins late at night at runs thru late morning. Prefer to not take the drugs, but the agony can only last so long before relief is needed. Been trying different natural remedies and vitamins to quell the release of the inflammation and will continue to search for solutions.
Hi, I take an antihistamine every day, but I still get the itches,….never had it on my back though. I also get it same as you on my chest. I try and drink loads of water, especially after bathing, not sure if it helps, but try to take my mind off of it…..
I'm lucky itch wise, I just tend to get it occasionally on my legs after I've dried off after a shower. I always moisturize after my shower, maybe that helps? But I get burning/tingling in my feet, legs and in my mouth and night sweats. These are my main PV issues 😬
Mine is similar. Only ever legs or arms and very rarely both at the same time. It either comes on just as I am about to go to bed or in the morning. It has got a lot worse since I started Peg Interferon, but on the recommendation of my Consultant I take a daily antihistamine and this usually makes it tolerable. The various creams that I have used only provide a couple of minutes relief unfortunately. Prior to taking Peg I would have bouts of itching but could then go months without any at all.
