I will be having my 3rd jab next week in a London hospital. I have ET and MDS along with other co-morbidities. I think it is Consultants who are referring patients for the 3rd jab.

Eleanor - do you know who they are coming from and who is going to do them? Silence still in Edinburgh and I thought worth phoning consultants's secretary only for a recorded message saying basically 'don't ask us'. GPs of course aren't doing flu ones in Scotland or at least aren't here- my husband had to go quite a distance today to a large vaccination centre on the outskirts of the city.Best wishes Diana

I have no idea. It was the same bright blue envelope that my other 2 vaccine appointments came in. . I’m in Grampian and we have centralised our vaccination to the old John Lewis building in the centre of Aberdeen.

Thank you Eleanor - that's how I assumed they would arrive (if we're to get it) and good news you have the blue envelope. The lack of any updates on NHS Inform plus no contact details to ask someone is certainly difficult. My GP did the first two vaccinations but the first was delayed as, through no fault of the GPs, the supply chain to them was dreadful. That was solved by the time the second was due but like the flu one they seem to be having nothing to do with third vaccines and boosters. The large central vaccination centre here at the Conference Centre has been shut unfortunately so they seem to be doing them at far less central sites. Interesting they are using your closed John Lewis - sadly we've got an empty Jenners and Debenhams they could have used!

Are you in Scotland as this time round I gathered shielders here seem to be getting the blue envelopes that the general population got for the first two vaccinations? Though it may be different in other parts of Scotland.

Glad you got it! The appointments seem to be dribbling out now. I gathered too that only Phizer and perhaps also Moderna are being given.

It’s strange because Aberdeen city were one of the last to receive the first dose of vaccines in jan/Feb.

My surgery is in Suffolk (I am over the border) and have heard nothing yet, but think it will be early October. Our mail hasn't arrived today yet.

I’m in North Yorkshire and have had letter from NHS inviting me to book an appointment for booster Vac. The choices in my area are all Pharmacies. My GP’s surgery is not doing them although they organised the first two at a local hospital. I’m about to find out if I can get Pfizer though as I want to stay with it.

I had 2 AstraZeneca and the 3rd was Pfizer. I didn’t have a choice I just had to have what I was given. I think most are Pfizer

Here in the USA, I am watching the clock & waiting to leave home for my 3rd shot. Got 15 minutes to go. I’m 63 years old with ET jak 2+ & stents & on my last visit to my oncologist, he said I should get the booster when they become available. Made an appt at my supermarket pharmacy for today. Even though needles never hurt me, I hate the waiting. Be very glad to get this over with!
