Blood cancer UK has an update on M)N patient response to vaccination that includes the medication patients are taking. Not a big study but informative. I have added a photo of the headline as I am unable to attach a Web link. Apologies if this has been posted previously

Thanks Turfbeg, , will check this out , , there was something on Patient Power too but I didn't have time to suss it out fully, more of an article I think about vaccine efficacy for immuno-suppressed. . Good to,know things are going on in this vital area. Also note you're house browsing 😃 think market is picking up again !

That's all I can do is window shop I'm sorry to say , , like many with a mid life cancer diagnosis which meant giving up a very physical job it prevented any chance of remortgage and moving. C'est la vie !!

Worrying for those of us on hydroxy (I have ET). I've ordered an antibody test from Lloyds Pharmacy.

I am thoroughly confused. Are PV patients who are taking hydroxyurea considered to be immune compromised? Because of the medication or because of the underlying condition?

And should we test for antibodies if we've been vaccinated? But it seems to say that's not the whole story either...

I ask because I am under pressure to return to work in person.

Hi Souplover, my understanding is that hydroxyurea definitely compromises out immunity.

My result has come through and I have antibodies - phew! My total antibody level was 415.0(U/mL), which a bit of research implies is acceptable although no one really knows what a good level is.

That’s good to know. Can I ask if you have previously had Covid or is this response just from the vaccines, and which vaccine did you have?Thank you

This is a response to the vaccines - I had the AstraZeneca.
