Hi Indy, , Good luck with it, , honestly not my favourite pastime but necessary. Try take yourself to a happy place in your mind , holiday memories, a route you walked, time with kids etc , , it helped me through a few. Hopefully be better than your first after 10 years.Chris

Goodluck! It will be over before you know it. Remember to breath. I you feel pain just say and the will inject a little more pain relief. I like Jedi's response to think of nice things. I did that too. Remember to spoil yourself afterwards. B :)

Hope it went well for you today. I am literally just home after my first. Not my favourite way to spend time, and felt a bit wobbly afterwards but now home and glad it’s over. Results in 2 weeks by phone🤞

Hiya,

Hope it was ok for you. I had my first BMB yesterday and TBH was not looking forward to it; waiting for an hour did not help. However, it was ok and I made free with the gas and air which really helped. I am just a little bit sore today. I was glad to have it done and will find out in three weeks or so, how my bone marrow is. More, it was wonderful to be in the hand of an excellent registrar and nurse who talked through through each stage and looked after me. Talking with them afterwards about my treatment was also extremly useful; further evidence, should we need it, of how very blessed we are with the excellent NHS.

I had one 10 year ago so I knew what to expect but never had gas and air available to me ! I honestly didn't think I needed anything I have quite a high pain threshold , just last week I had an endoscopy and had only the spray to numb my throat ! So I feel blessed if that's the right word especially with everything that's going on with me at the moment . Glad to hear you are ok and got looked after well 🥰
