hi everybody I wanted to give an update I’ve been on pegasys for a month today. I will take my fifth treatment. I took blood work yesterday and I saw the results today. My platelets are in normal range for the first time in over a year probably two years they were 376. I’m very happy for doctors that listen to you. I’m so blessed to have been able to be seen by Dr. Ruben Mesa for one year. Doctors ignored my symptoms did not do anything almost killed me with an iron infusion. I’m just so happy and so grateful for all of you that have helped me through this journey. I see Dr. Mesa in August I know blood can go up and down but I’m just so grateful at this point good luck to everyone

Amazing! You're a super-resonder to Pegasys! For many of us, it takes many months to see improvements. Excellent news - I'm so happy for you!

What was your starting dose, and have you increased it yet?

I have taken my first 3 shots of Pegasys and got my blood work back yesterday. I am happy to say my HCT and WBC both have improved since I started. I am only taking 45mcgs and have no desire to increase at this time. My doctor wants to bump me up to 90mcgs and I don't understand why.

45 no increase

I am so glad to hear that and I am also happy for you. I am going to tell my doctor I am not increasing until I have some justification to do so. He is just following his standard protocol and one shoe does not fit all. Thanks!
