Yes, I had mine earlier this evening and all good. The vaccine centre I attended was busy and it ran pretty much to time. I’m so thankful to all involved that I’ve now had the first dose. My second dose is also in April.I received the Pfizer vaccine but I guess that’s no guarantee it will be Pfizer again on Friday. Also there’s more than one vaccine centre there. Both centres are easy to find if you follow the diagram sent with the appointment confirmation.
Thankyou very much, was it London Bridge 2 by any chance? I had no link with my confirmation, I read somewhere one is in the atrium downstairs, hoping it’s there or easy to find
My appointment was in London Bridge 1. LBridge 2 is close to it and both are in large marquees. I found both in the dark, and with glasses well misted from wearing a mask, with no problem. People there were very kind and helpful. My name was checked off the list as I entered gate going towards LB1 so no question of me going to the wrong centre. There were probably signs up too but my glasses were way too misted to have noticed any. I just couldn’t wait to get there! And very happy to say my arm around the injection spot is sore but it’s nothing I haven’t experienced with other vaccinations.
I have mine booked for Friday as well in the London Bridge 2 centre! A fellow patient posted photos on Facebook, it seems very easy to find, it is in some temporary white tents outside the hospital. They got the Pfizer vaccine too earlier in the week.
Mine is at 11:15. It is not inside the hospital, it is in a white marquee outside. London Bridge 2 is just opposite the main entrance to the hospital, behind the big brown building.
I had an invite from Guy’s but I had to decline as I live in Devon! I guess I came up on a list from Claire Harrison as I see her once a year. I haven’t had a local invite yet but I think the population of Devon tends towards the elderly! I’m shielding again so not in a real rush for vaccine but would expect it within the next couple of weeks if the government are on track
