Morning everyone & welcome to a happier year 2021...
Hopefully, we are all on the right track for eventually being able to overcome the horrors of last year, although, it may still take some time yet.
ASH 2020, asked a few questions concerning how MPN patients might cope with CV–19...
This YouTube from Jeanne Palmer explains those observations, one expects that within the next couple of months, we will start to hear about data of those with an MPN, and the observations after having taken a Vaccine, I for one am really looking forward to that data and information...
Sure you are right Steve,I have a good G P & Consultant,I think they will advise me...for now I will stay put ,plenty to do & shielded by our own land...Very Best to you and yours, can you still ride your cycle away from home ? We do take our G S Ds to the nearest road off our Chemin, never see anyone!!!Just Deer and Sanglier,an odd car sometimes.Keep well.Sally
Yes, I can, however, over these past c. 2 months I have had to hospitalise my 85 yo mum twice, and she has become pretty much a 24/7 loving duty all of a sudden...
Family life here is all a tad dystopian too, unfortunately, too complex to try to explain it all here... However, I suspect that it is likely not all that uncommon... Nevertheless, it just makes taking care of her more frustrating than it need be... "Family!" Arghhh... Include wide ranging stanzas of expletive deletives...
Mum's had a back issue for many years, and the pain was unbearable for her. Her surgery was considered 'Elective' of course so initially cancelled back in February 2020. Anyways, all done now and I am just trying to watch and observe her healing progress, and whether or not her immobility has improved or deteriorated further etc (?)
There were Two (2) surgical choices, and the lesser involved meant a shorter stay, (w/ the promise of pain relief only). However, the more involved procedure, (known as a Spinal Fusion), would be a much longer convalescence, say 6+ months hospitalisation... and I really don't thing she could have coped with that type of duration...
So my Riding has taken a back-seat for the moment... Today I did my first Trainer cycle, (virtual Ride), in quite sometime, and I suspect that there will be a few more into the near future...
However, I'll be back out there in no time Sally...
Oh ,that's difficult Steve.Well done to you for managing to care for your mum.We M P N ers have our own fatigue etc to cope with.Hope mum improves quickly and gets back to normal.Hubby & I have no family apart from our daughter ,missing her dreadfully as she is U K & we are France. I often get a bit down, most friends have family & that's probably why our dogs mean so much to us & my last horse too.
I have an exercise bike,I use it to move a bit when I work in my studio.
Can get very stiff concentrating on anatomy of whatever I am modelling.Take good care, let's hope this year things improve for us all.
