If moving from hydroxycarbamide to pegasys, are they taken in combination initially until the effect of pegasys is known?

When I switched to Pegasys I had been on Hydroxycarbamide + Anagrelide. My haematologist reduced the dose of these to one of each a day until the Pegasys started to kick in. Your haematologist will advise you. Best wishes, Jennie

Thank you for replying Jennie. I’ve been on hydroxycarbamide for 20 years and am hoping pegasys can get those pesky platelets down. Best wishes, Muriell

Hi there. Hope you are keeping well. I too have been on hydroxycarbamide for nearly 20 years with no side effects. I had PV which has progressed to mpn, and now hydroxycarbamide is not controlling my bloods. I will be starting pegasys in 3 weeks and wondered how you are getting along and if you're having any side effects . Thank you
