And good morning back to you from (near) San Francisco! I grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago and later lived in the city near Wrigleyville. Where are you?

Bloomingdale. I’m about 25 miles due west of downtown. Near Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Addison......where you anywhere near the fires? That was terrible. 😢

I know Bloomingdale! And yes, the fires here are scary! Luckily, I live in Alameda, which is across the bay from SF and an island, so we're always safe from the actual fires. We have friends up north who have had to evacuate every year, and then the smoke affects all of us.

My son lives in Portland and they sent me pictures of smoke coming down the coast plus a few fires around them. All I can say is Horrible!! Breathing was difficult for them.

I think I’ve been to Alameda many years ago. Love the red woods. Went thru the forest. Muir Woods I believe is the name.

Spent a few days in Paris and Gien (?). There’s a wonderful store there that sold over stock and discontinued china. Fantastic trip seeing all the icons in Paris. Wish I could go back. Stay safe
