You are invited to join the 1st virtual, international MPN Awareness event on Thursday 10th September, which is being hosted by the MPN Austria Selbshilfegruppe (Patient Organization), a MPN patient support group based in Austria.

This virtual event is being held in two sessions, one is pre-recorded and one will be a live session, full details for this international event and the MPN Austria Selbshilfegruppe can be found here mpnaustria.com/en/

The goals of this online event are:

•To give patients a feeling of support, community and belonging, especially in these times when face-to-face meetings are not possible or should be avoided

•To ensure that patients are not feeling they are being left alone with their issues and problems

•To inform and update patients on the latest trends in MPN

•To enable patients to have an inter-exchange with leading haemato-oncologists in English and German in PV, ET and MF

•To attract the attention of authorities and media to the issues of MPN patients

•To give better understanding on this illness in the population

Session 1

The event will start online on 10th September at 18:00 CET (central European time). Please be aware of the time difference for whichever country you live in, for example: the UK is 1 hr behind CET.

The event will start with a short video about MPN symptoms and then afterwards a video about general MPN aspects, a total of 1 hr. Speakers are: Mrs Elena Zagorulko, Prof Mesa, Prof Wolf, Prof Harrison, Mr Loffelhardt and Dr Sliwa.

Registration for this session is not required, a link to this session will be available at mpnaustria.com/en/ on the 10th September.

Session 2

Times: 19:30 – 21:00 CET

PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR SESSION 2

Starting at 19:30 CET, registered participants can join six live virtual rooms, for PV, ET, MF, in English and German, with the following speakers:

English – ET - Prof Harrison, PV - Prof Griesshammer, MF - Prof Mesa

German – ET - Dr Buxshofer, PV - Prof Wolf, MF - Dr Sliwa

Registration is possible until 5th September, you can participate only in ONE virtual room that you choose. REGISTER HERE mpnaustria.com/en/events/la...

A link will be sent to you once you have registered.

Full details for this event, including programs can be found here mpnaustria.com/en/

If you require any further information, or assistance, you can contact Dr Elena Zagorulko at info@mpnaustria.com. If you have any problems or issues when joining the sessions you will need to contact Dr Zagorulko for assistance, please do not contact MPN Voice as we will be unable to help you.

We would like to thank our MPN friends in Austria for extending this invitation to our members, and for organizing this exciting international event.

Fantastic presentation- many thanks to all the organizers and the Austrian MPN selbsthilfegruppe

Enjoyed the music too!

Unfortunately l kept losing sound during Claire Harrison’s round table and dropped out near the end but nevertheless it was excellent. Highly recommend people watch online once made available as it covered many of our regular themes

Hi Maz, I dont suppose there is a recording of the round the table for ET in English? I did sign up for this and had submitted a couple of questions. Unfortunately my invite link to the round table disappeared from my mail. Thank you!
