Mum is very down but her carers, God bless them, are so good with her. I have rallied all the family to write and the younger ones to do pictures to send her so I hope this will feel like she is less isolated. Thanks for the lovely comment as well xx

You know...you could make money off this...you know making paintings of peoples pets. I know I would buy one. Although that might add stress to the process which is exactly what you are trying to avoid. Either way...awesome painting!

Wow! What a compliment! I am amazed that someone would want to buy my work but, as you say, it would probably take the pleasure away and I would never think I had it just right but I really appreciate you saying that x

Forgot to add that Phelpsy has asked if I would paint her two Cavaliers. Just waiting for two good head shots. I won't be charging for it.

Wow...that's awesome that you are doing that for her. Please post the painting here for us to see when you are finished. Do you only paint dogs or do you do other animals as well?

I have only been painting for about 2 months and have centred on dogs which are my passion. I haven't really thought about doing other animals to be honest, what kind are you thinking about.

You've only been painting for two months! That's crazy. So you didn't know you had this talent until two months ago? I didn't have any other animals in mind but I do have two dogs that are clowns so if you get bored I can send you their pics. 😄

Yes, I have been using the lockdown to learn how to paint. My hubby bought me a beautiful art box a few years ago but I never did anything with it. I have done wool crafts for years and am currently making neonatal baby blankets plus gifts for two friends who are pregnant. My hands are getting quite arthritic so I knew I would need a new hobby. I remembered my art box and the rest is history. I taught myself and I am loving it. What kind of dogs do you have before I commit myself lol

I have a Boykin Spaniel. They are very much like English working Cocker Spaniels but all brown.

Oh wow, not heard of them before but I do love all spaniels even though I have 2 westies. My soulmate was my Springer, Bridie. I miss her every single day.
