Thanks for sharing this. So the basic message is: everyone else can have a great time, but you lot are on your own! The media are calling it freedom day ironically!

Yes more of a house arrest for us! What I worry about is that they have taken working from home off. All these highly educated people and they havent worked out that the office or workplace isn’t usually the issue, its getting to it thats the risk for most of us. Given that they just stated that 60 percent of hospital admissions were double jabbed I dont think any of us should be taking unnecessary risks

I feel the same. I watched the press briefing yesterday in horror however it seems Patrick Valance has said he made a mistake and it should be 40%. Either way I feel the ‘guidance’ for CEV is appalling and I feel more anxious now than at anytime.

Absolutely - I read the government "advice" this morning and my precis is:

"Look folks, there's a pack of wolves out there and we are throwing you in their general direction."

Thank you for posting. I don’t know why we can’t get an antibody test done when we have our bloods done. At least we would then know what reaction we have had to the vaccines. Take care x

It would be great wouldn’t it, to know where we stand with regards to vaccine protection. I raised this at my consult up at Guy’s last week. The issue is there isn’t so far a really reliable antibody test that would give us the reassurance we seek. Added to which nobody knows yet how many antibodies (and the relationship between antibodies in all their complexities and T cells) we need to be protected. Let’s hope the researchers come up with the answers very soon.

So the CEV have to "avoid indoor settings" but return to workplaces where no-one has to wear a mask or socially distance , let their unvaccinated children mix freely at school with no mitigation in place, use public transport where wearing a mask is a personal choice , go to buy food whilst somehow avoiding people who have not been double vaccinated ? This isn't guidance but a clear message that this Government believes we are totally expendable. Let's all be as careful as we can and show them that we're not. Stay safe Everyone !

Fully agree with you. I now feel more confused, less safe and therefore more reluctant to return to the office any time soon.

I was watching sky news last night and they were discussing the headlines of the morning papers. Think the Daily Star got it spot on with their headline ‘Carry on Chaos.’

Boris seems to think that if you are over eighty you are fair game to covid, what he probably meant to say was if you are over eighty or have an MPN you are fair game to covid. But what would you expect an idiot who thinks he is invincible to say. Could Katie Hopkins be his sister?

On the upside it says its ok to work from home but also saying its safe to go to work is a bit of a strange statement in a pandemic!
