I have just read in local paper that some cancer sufferers are being advised to stop treatment. I'm on low dose aspirin and hydroxy, can anyone tell me if still safe to continue with meds??? I would be very grateful if anyone can answer this query.
Many thanks

I’ve had a pulmonary embolism as a result of uncontrolled counts. Personally I would not stop any medication unless you get the virus - then it would make sense to get your white cell count up x
All the advice from MPN Voice, Bloodwise etc.... Is to continue on your meds unless advised otherwise. If you stop & then have a thrombotic event you put more pressure on the health services. Practice social distancing
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to my query, very much appreciated. Have appointment 2 weeks with haemo and will check everything with him. All the best to my friends on here, stay safe.

I am like you and asked doctor if i could go off Hydrox until after this covid-19 passes but he said they don't expect that to be anytime soon so I need to stay on the Chemo.
