Backache
Try seeing a physiotherapist and ask for exercises. That may help.
I also experience chronic back pain due to spinal deterioration. The JAK2 related chronic inflammation certainly makes this worse along with the osteoarthritis and other cytokine driven symptoms. The things that I have found that help are: massage therapy (by a skilled practitioner), Qigong (light stretching exercise), and physical therapy when needed. You do need to be very carful about adding NSAIDs on top of the aspirin you are likely taking. I do also take a Turmeric-Curcumin blend that really helps with the osteoarthritis. It works better than any NSAID I ever used.
Hope you get some relief soon.
Hi I to have back pain I’m on 1500 mg daily hydroxycarbamide along with other medication I have Accupuncture on my back and joints which helps
I was taking turmeric and curcumin but was told of my Proffessor at the Christie hospital it interacts with medication and to stop it along with all other vitamins I was taking
I also have visual disturbances I’ve had them since 2014 after my splenectomy to this day there frightening I’ve had brain scan I’m on Apixiban now after a TIA in 2017, but I still get the visual disturbances
Just been to Dr's for a bad back they gave me Co codamol but it didn't suit me and gave me more problems, so went back yesterday and the only alternative they said was morphine patches. They gave me a 5mg one, but the pain gave me a rotten night sleep, Dr said to come back and up the strength if needed.
Hi Tilly Rose, sorry to hear that you are having back pain, horrid for you. Speak to your GP about alternative pain relief to help you, and also perhaps a referral to either a physiotherapist or pain management clinic. Hope it gets better soon, best wishes, Maz
