This is fantastic - thank you so much for sharing! Reinforces everything I have read or heard thus far in this journey to health - so well laid out. Is it naive to feel we can heal ourselves through diet? I totally feel we can!🤗

Last year I followed an anti-inflammatory diet, much as suggested in this. I have 4 blood tests a year and for the second and third, having followed the diet I was able to reduce my hydroxy medication from 10 tablets a week to 9 and then to 8. In the 4th blood test, my platelets and potassium had shot up again and I had to go back to 10 tablets a week. I have no idea why that happened, but I'm still persisting with the diet -and the exercise, so fingers crossed for the next test. I do believe diet and exercise are important, but I have to say I'm glad we have drugs available too!

Here's a link to another nutrition study by Drs Ruben Mesa and Robyn Scherber from Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson "Nutrition recommendations for MPN patients." It isn't as information as your link, but shows some common ideas, and this could help us make decisions about our nutrition choices.

Neela! This is amazing!

I do most of this, but there has put a bit more clarity into everything. We shouldn’t forget that antiinflammatory eating also means avoiding that which we are allergic to or have sensitivity to. I had many sensitivities and didn’t know it, until I eliminated for 2 months, then very slowly added foods.

I’m basically on the Auto-Immune paleo diet which is tweaked to suit me. It was so good for me that most of my family and friends adopted it and now swear by it. I guess there may be a reason for my illness. 😁

Thanks so much for posting!!!
