Hey Neela...

In my own case, I had a really bad case flaking and chalky cuticle for a great many years w/out respite of any remedy from the 'Unaware' medical fraternity... Tried every suggested remedy but to no avail... (?)

My fingers and hands also ached in pain sometimes burning and other times freezing cold...?

However, after circa 15-20 years. I finally became diagnosed & the Low-dose (100mg) aspirin helped my circulation improve, & my nails completely recovered within 2-3 months, I believe...

Apparently, the higher Platelet regime was the cause of the problem...

That & my Von Willebrands Syndrome (VWS) Type2... (Lacking the coagulating factor VIII Protein in my blood)

Hope this helps... :-)

.its a great support to share the symptoms and experiences with someone who can understand what we are going thru day to day life.

Changes in nail color can be an adverse reaction to hydroxyurea if you are taking it. Certainly something to review with your doc.
