Is there a list of MPN specialists with their locations around the UK?
I live in Herefordshire, half way between Hereford and Shrewsbury and attend my Haematologist in Hereford at present.

Hi Yorkie1,
On the MPN Forum site I found this list, mpnforum.com/list-hem/ .
I hope this helps.
John
Thanks for that, I would have hoped that in England I would be nearer than over 2 hours to one and he is in another country. 🙄
Hi Gerard, no we don't have a list as consultants change locations/hospitals and therefore we would need to keep updating it which would not be easy. Can you email me at maz.mpnvoice.org.uk with the details of which hospital you attend and I can advise you further, please do not put the details on here. Best wishes, Maz
Hello, please could i jump on this post and ask could i email you pmease Maz to find a specialist in my area.I was at the forum yesterday in Edinburgh and Newcastle was mentioned. Just not sure if there are any others closer to me in Cumbria. Thank you
HI my name is Stevengeorge I am campaigning in Scotland for more MPN clinical nurse specialists at haematology clinics what I did was armed with as much information of your condition and take it a long to your local MP tell them with the need for doctors on frontline it would be a good idea to have a MPN clinical nurse specialists at your clinic as it would save a registrar coming down from the ward they would be ale to treat MPN patients who are really well then when you think about it if a seriously ill MPN patient comes it is easier for registrar to start treatment cutting down one patients wait and also I have been treated by my clinical nurse specialist she picked up my rbc was low she was fully trained new diagnosis and what treatment was but checked with consultant she was spot on with treatment and also another drawback of having a registrar at clinic if they are called away for an emergency there is going to be a back up off appointments so clinics will be running later
just some points you could put to your local MP
good luck Steveneorge
