Hey! I am recently diagnosed with ET. I have mapped my gut-biome and received some really interesting results. I am curious if anyone else with an MPN has done it too? I would like to compare some results. Have a nice day!!

Curious, how did you map your gut biome?

I’m interested but would like to know how to track your gut biome.

With a stool test called “GI-map+zonulin”

This is of interest to me, too. I also follow an anti-inflammatory diet, but it would be good to know if there's anything I can do to make things even better. Quite a few companies offer this service. testing gut microbiome. Difficult to know who to go with. I assume since you gave the cost in Euros that you are not in the UK (as I am)?

Hi, do the results break it down between the small & large intestine? Katie

Well I have an appointment with my functional medicine practitioner in a week to analyze the results further . However certain types of bacteria showed a massive overgrowth. And the gut permeability were four or five times the upper normal limit. And my current diet isn’t that perfect by I don’t eat a lot of sugar or dairy and I try to eat a lot of fiber.

How do you do it?

Your microbiome has huge impact on your health. many people ignore just how important this really is. Hope you can use your results to improve your overall health.

On a similar vein, I recently had a detailed nutritional analysis (NutrEval) done. Also very interesting results. Serious vit B/folate deficiency, moderate magnesium deficiency, and elevated levels of toxins, including high mercury levels. We will see how the addition of a few supplements and modification of diet helps with this.

All the best.

That sounds interesting as well! I really want to do what I can to minimize the risk of my life style affecting my health and my decease progression negatively.

Hi, I am interested in this test also. I have ET JAK2+ and suffer intestinal problems. How do you go about having a test? Regards Fran

My functional medicin practitioner ordered it for me. I got a test kit by mail. Really easy but rather expensive at 530 euros. I think it was a danish lab.

Thank you very much for the info. I will look into it. Wondering if GP would order one on NHS as I'm in England. Will post on here if any progress made. Thanks again. Fran
