Gastrointestinal Issues

Are gastrointestinal issues common with MPNs? Anyone else have problems with it? Not on any medication.

My gallbladder is acting up. I had an ultrasound and need to go to see my gastroenterologist. I don't know if related to ET.

Yes! I have bloating and acid reflux. So far no spleen trouble. What are your symptoms? I am on just 81 mg. ASA.

I have developed a hiatus hernia since having ET.I have to watch my diet as I get acid reflux,loss of appetite and lose weight quickly.I am taken off daily aspirin intermittently as it acts as a irritant.I now take esmoprazole which does help.

On aspirin only but had to start omeprezole daily for acid reflux..

I don't know if connected to my MPN but have always assumed it to be as its only been a recent (past couple of years) thing, but sometimes i wake up choking. It can be quite scary as it causes me to dream im choking on an object and i wake up often out of bed on the floor trying to 'cough up' whatever i have swallowed.

Obviously i havent swallowed anything, i have tied it down to eating late, so i think its probably acid reflux which may not be helped by my enlarged spleen resting on my stomach.

I havent taken it further as its only occasional.
