No am not authorised diagnose with MPN but my numbers tells so, but as i had not required phlebotomy since 8months my doctors seems not interested in PV diagnosis.but my HB crosses normal limits now... and so am starts worried
Variation in blood cell numbers is normal and it is hard to interpret out of context. If your diagnosis is polycythemia, then the critical number is hematocrit (HCT). if you are uncertain that the hematologist you are working with has the KSAs (many do not) to treat a MPN, then consultation with a MPN specialist certainly makes sense.
