What an interesting programme. Hard to watch at times and left me in tears. What very brave families to not only go through all that to help the trial but to agree to it all being filmed. Hats off to them.

Totally agree Judy, it drew me in completely. I was desperate for the toilet....but no adverts!

I found it very emotional, brave patients and families. A huge thanks to all concerned for their participation in this trial. It hopefully will enable scientists to further learn and develop.

I must say, I was uplifted at the end when it mentioned all the patients who were in remission.

Great TV!

I agree Mary, I normally go to bed about 10pm to read for a bit but I couldn’t leave it, although I was recording it , I didn’t want to wait until today to see it!

Oh my days....what an incredibly emotional documentary. I watched this in tears as I witnessed the out and out bravery of both guys....one just a young, beautiful boy.

For me, I am so aware that my MPN may possibly transmute into leukaemia and this programme has given me such hope in the progress of the current research and treatments now available.

I am indebted to the bravery of these wonderful people who shared their pain and intimate family experiences with us onlookers. Thank you, much love Poll x

Really frustrating. I can’t get this, since I’m in Korea and I also can’t see it at home in Austria when I get back!

BBC rights.

I hope it’ll be available at some point. Thanks for posting.

I watched with horror! I had hoped it might be a bit more positive outcome, they were suffering a lot in what was their last few months & to show the drilling of the bone marrow biopsy was too much & too close to home 😫

But it did show how it’s not the patients or their survival or well being that motivate the doctors but their quest for science & the perfect ‘computer program’ & we are the guinea pigs
