MDM2 Inhibitor - trial targeting MF/PV

Looks interesting, similar theory to RG7388 which is currently being trialed Phase 2 in UK for PV patients intolerant to other treatments

This Phase 1 trial appears to be USA but worth following. Theory makes perfect common sense - inhibit the inhibitor that reduces our body’s defences against MPNs.

That is the hope. MPN patients tend to have promoted MDM2 which, as it rises, suppresses our anti cancer fighting p53. This opens door for faster progression.

I suspect our ‘near cure’ will be a combo of these drugs. I believe Peg and RG7388 are being trialed for stubborn (more aggressive?) cases.

Thank you for replying! One more question.. Have you understand if these inhibitors of MDM2 will work despite clonal mutation? I mean

. They may target a different path ,more unified??
