Taking hydroxyurea 1000mg a day, phlebotomy once a month and hemocrit keeps rising. Has anyone had this experience? Has anything helped?

How long have you been on hydroxy? Could it be taking time to kick in? It took my blood a few months before the hydroy dose began to settle a bit, but it still has to be varied frequently (I have PV, diagnosed 3 years ago)
