I've never been on a forum. I'm a 54 year gardener . I was diagnosed with polycythaemia 14 years ago .
Been on hydroxy carbamide since then .. generally all ok but Tuesdays visit to derrifiord revealed a noticeable drop in neutrophils. And so a reduction in my drugs to try and sort it . Any change is a bit of a worry

Hi. Welcome. I have ET so can't really help you with your changes but there are plenty here that will be supportive ... Any change is a little worrying but hope you can have your mind put at ease .....I've had changes in my blood results but generally all was sorted and came back to a reasonable level Pippa

Hi, welcome to the forum. I have polycythemia also but I’ve never heard of neutrophils. I do know that I’ve been sick for 11 years and I’ve had to readjust my medication many times. Good luck with everything.
Hi, just wondering if you are a 54 year gardener or a 54 year old gardener. Always interested in how old people are when they contract these diseases and how long we can hope to continue doing well with our mpn's.
Hi redvanman and welcome to the group. I too have PV. Mine was diagnosed 2 years ago now after a year of ET symptoms. You will usually find someone on here who can answer any question or just offer support. Hope those neutrophils are back in line soon.
I am 53 years old and having Polychythemia since 2010 when my PCV was 56. After that I am drawing blood 500 ml twice in year. In last 2 years I am gone for venesections yearly once. All mutaions are negative and taking asprin 75mg only. BY God grace PCV only increasing.
I am also experienced, WBC/neutrophils drops below average and coming back to normal. But don't know the reason.
