For the past week I've had pain from neuralgia (pain and numbness across one side of my face) - I went to the GP and was told that it would probably 'settle down' in a couple of weeks.
I hadn't been to the GP since my diagnosis so spent a bit of time catching him up on my treatment. The literature he looked at indicated that neuropathy was a rare possible side effect of the Interferon.
The question is - has anybody else had the same issue?
Every time I get something I keep asking myself - is this the MF, is this the Interferon, is this just getting sick or too many birthdays!!!???

I have occasional trigeminal neuralgia it comes and goes I've had for years before I got ET. I use Carbamazipine 200mg three times a day tapering down to 100 mg three times a day after a few days. I got my first pair of varofocal glasses last month which brought on the trigeminal neuralgia so had to stop wearing them.
I just make sure I keep the right drugs at home as it's so painful and sods law says it'll start on a Friday night
