Some of us here have been lucky enough to see Prof Harrison, she is an amazing mix of knowledge and compassion.

Here is her recent summary of MF treatment options.

She is amazing, so caring and listens to everything you say to her. I went to see her for a second opinion after I was first diagnosed with MF and she put my mind at ease straight away. I said I was thinking of transferring my care from Halifax to Leeds and she sorted it all out for me within a few weeks.

I just wish I lived closer to London.

Yep. If Heineken made medical professors....... Eight years ago I walked in to her office for a second opinion on MF after being handed off by my local Haematologist. Disease confirmation and IR2 diagnosis agreed in a couple of minutes followed by transplant discussion and referral agreement shortly afterwards. A star!

Hi Paul

I’ve been to see The Prof too.. Amazing lady, as you say, both expert and compassionate- rarely do the two go together.

I danced out of my consultation; she gave me my life back. I still have ET and I will still have to have treatment - but not yet.

If you’re reading this Professor Harrison - THANK YOU!
