I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who organised the Manchester Forum yesterday, especially Maz. It was my first visit to one and it was such a positive, worthwhile day, lovely to meet other MPNers and share their experiences and to listen to the speakers. Special thanks to Annie and Louise. If you get the chance do go to one.

If you live in the Channel Islands or north of the border it is horrendously expensive to attend such events, it not only involves Air or sea links but accommodations, taxi fares because we don't know where these places are. Just the fare to Southampton or Gatwick can cost £200 to start with , add on's and on OAP it is out of the question, I would love to sit face to face and chat with someone who just gets it and not have the look on their faces that say ,oh no not again.

I am going (hopefully) to the London one in Nov. Never managed to get to any of them before....coming from France,so hard to arrange to come,Will stay with daughter in Wilts,really need to meet others with P V and hear experts.I feel totally alone,tho friends are kind,they cannot of course understand the way I am affected.I hope you can manage,to attend a forum ..I hope I get to London!Cheers Bordeaux girl....I live an hour or so from your 'nom de plume'!

Hi Inca, I love your part of the country having spent many holidays in Lauzon.

I hope you are able to get loads of advice and encouragement from your visit and that it helps you to understand this horrible thingy we all have even if we are small in numbers , we are 'Quality over Quantity' many goos wishes June.x

I should not grumble really,my care here is excellent,it's the lonely disease we have that bugs me.Yes this area is so beautiful,we are south of Bordeaux,Bastide villages and quiet roads! You keep well June,maybe the forums will be put on here for us to see.Best Wishes ,Sally

Hi Bordeauxgirl, I am sorry that we can't get over the Channel Islands, though we would love to, but I am not sure how many people there are over there with MPNs, we will have to work on that one. And we do go north of the border, if you mean over here, we hold forums in Edinburgh, Bothwell nr Glasgow, and Inverness, so do try to get to as many places around the UK as we can. Hopefully we will get to come over to you one year. Maz

Thanks Maz ... I only know of one other in the Channel Islands so I can see it wouldn't be possible, just having a moany day in paradise .
