Just saw heam and bloods down after 4 weeks of hydroxy. I've to increase dose to two a day now.

Oh no hope side effects not going to get worse. Keep working little tablets 😙

Today I don't care as I'm so happy they are coming down. Can see a light at the end of the tunnel I've been In. Hope to be going back to a career I love too. One step at a time.

Great news Lainy1 - I was the one doing the happy dance last week when my platelets came down 300 to 1605 - I know how delighted you would have been. I was also increased to 2 Hu per day and so far no negative side effects. My next lot of results due on Thursday - so fingers crossed for continued downward slide.

Well my good mood only lasted till about 7pm when I took my two hydroxy. Because I had been to the hospital and pooped in to see my boss and staff then the doctors. Basically I never ate till dinner tme and never had my 3 L of water so was sick as a dog last night. Or was it just increase in hydroxy? Now don't want to take them tonight 😭😭

Sorry for laughing Lainy but was picturing you "pooping" in to see your boss - I reckon you were probably feeling sick because of taking the hydroxy on an empty stomach. Fingers crossed that all is going better for you now. And no more pooping in public !!

Do you take your HU together or split them morning night ? I'm feeling anxious to take my next two tonight again. It's been another busy day and only had one sandwich. 😔

I take them both together, immediately after dinner at night. The only time I had any side effect (feeling a bit of nausea) was when I took my very first one and I took it immediately I picked up the prescription BEFORE lunch. Probably nerves plus empty stomach. Sounds like you have to make some time for YOU, despite the busy day, and make sure you eat and drink. (Eating never a problem for me unfortunately)

Thanks Chris, yeah I too was so nervous taking my first tablet and same when I doubled them up the other night 😈 I had my water bottle in the car but it quickly turned to hot water while I was in at hospital appointment. Keep well, lainy 🤗

Thanks Steve, but only lasted till night time as was vomiting after taking two together. It prob did not help that all I had time to eat was dinner that day. And never drank my usual 3L of water.
