Hi Holly sorry to hear this, could your GP not get in touch with your consultant, he or she must know how worried you are, not nice to say the least, and just to leave you to sort out yourself is not fair.

Chin up Holly, thinking of you let us know how you get on.

Hi Holly, you say your platelets are 'creeping up.' By how much have they increased and are they still within healthy range? It maybe just a matter of titrating the dose of Hyderea. Your MCV is still within the range and your right, it can increase with Hyderea; mine has. I'm not too concerned at this stage, it will be interesting to hear what your haematologist says. Try not to worry.

Hi Mary yea platelets within range ,i read on a fb mpn forum , thats those that had high HCV were taken off HU and moved to interferon ,or pegasy ! also can be caused by Low B12 in body , i must admit i havent felt that great since he raised my HU to every day last blood test showed slight blood infection , and i have upset tum every few weeks also best wishes Holly x

Hi Holly, I know it's that blooming merry-go-round we are all on that we keep thinking we are getting off then something else pops up! The others are better advising you as I'm not on meds and have PV but I just wanted to send you a load of E hugs and insist on an answer tomorrow at the latest. The other replies you've had have been reassuring. Kindest regards and lots of hugs Aime xx😺😺

Aime , thank you ,your very kind . yes i heard from hospital this afternoon , but hadnt had chance to post on here , he said the platelets will fluctulate and he okay with reading , also yes my MCV is on high side but it coukd be due to Hydroxycarbmide ,but to carry on as usual till i see him in April so yes have accepted what he said and hope next blood test better . best wishes Holly xx
