Headaches
Hi, not knowing any more detail I'd say see or speak to your doctor or consultant as soon as possible. Hope you feel better soon, Frances.
Hi Yasmin
Try and keep yourself hydrated. Unfortunately, again, its side effects of the chemo. My headaches usually last around 4 days. I find coconut water really helps as it seems to subside them quicker along with a couple of paracetomol. Did your consultant not prescribe you any anti-sickness tablets? They help a lot too. If not, try your GP or consultant for anti-sickness tablets.
Regards
Angela
Are you on platelet reducing meds or just aspirin? I'm on aspirin only and have found I get horrible reflux ( I had it before ET but not this bad) and omeprezole helps with nausea and gnawing pain. I'm ET JAK2+. As far as the headaches. .the aspirin does help but when I do get them they seem to last a few days..I take Tylenol, drink lots of water and try to get some exercise to get my blood moving. Call your Dr if you are still feeling poorly!
Hi it might help,to know that there is a virus going around that results in very bad headaches pain in neck/ shoulders and nausea. Like you I am on hydroxide plus othe drugs for PV. This results in low immune to fighting off viruses and it took me over a month befour I managed to fight it off. Very low time spent most in bed. I live in Nottingham and have had the flue jab befour coming down with this virus, and I know a number of others that have suffered but got over in a couple of weeks.
Hope you feel better soon x
